Co-founder, Activist Insight
Nick has 20 years experience of building up financial information businesses. Nick co-founded Activist Insight and Proxy Insight. Prior to this he co-founded Preqin the preeminent supplier of information on alternative assets. This business was started from scratch in 2002. It is now highly profitable and counts many of the leading private equity, hedge fund and real estate managers as customers. It employs over 100 people spread across offices in London, New York and Singapore.
Prior to this he was a founding director of Citywatch, the leading supplier of UK public company ownership information, which was sold to Reuters in 1998 and founder of Virtual Trader, the largest online share trading simulation.
Co-founder and Managing Director, Activist Insight
Kerry co-founded Activist Insight in 2012 and is the Managing Director of the company. He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2007 with a BSc Honours degree in Physiology.
Kerry has a background in financial information having joined Preqin in 2008, where he headed up products focused on private equity funds and fund managers.
Kerry also headed up the development and launch of a private equity secondary market product at the company.
Josh Black is the Editor-in-Chief of Activist Insight, handling the company’s news, publications, vulnerability reports and public relations. In 2014 he launched the first magazine dedicated to shareholder activism, now known as Activist Insight Monthly. Josh also edits and co-authors the Activist Investing Annual Review – the leading authority on activism.
Josh is regularly interviewed by the media as an expert on shareholder activism and has been quoted by Reuters, CNBC and the Financial Times. He also speaks at conferences on a frequent basis.
Josh graduated in Modern History from the University of Leeds in 2009 and in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Oxford in 2013, working in financial services in London in between.
Vice President, Sales
Adam Riches directs Activist Insight’s global sales operations, securing new business, attending events and managing the accounts of an international blue chip client-base. He was involved with the design and construction of the original Activist Insight Online platform ahead of its launch at the end of 2012 and continues to contribute to product development.
Adam graduated in History from the University of York in 2011 and also has a background in law having studied at BPP Law School in London.
